    About Us

    Aaaah the Afterlife.
It offers a rich tapestry of possibility: are ghosts real? do you believe in spirits? what was that sound? At Dark History PGH, we definitely believe in History and we especially love the “morbid facts” variety. Our goal is to shine a spotlight on smaller neighborhoods that are steeped in history and hidden gems. All of our stories happened to real people in these real places and we encourage you to join us in traveling through the veil as we pay homage to the Past.

Join us for walking tours in Carnegie [the original!] or Dormont [added 2023] or Millvale [coming 2024] and if you're like us and can't get enough spooky stories ~ we offer Ghosts of Distillery Row, a haunted drinking tour in the Strip District ~ in December.

We also participate with a variety of non-profits for Speaker Series talks and other haunted performances based on location.

We do enter haunted spaces on our tours and we do talk about true crimes and macabre happenings so we are recommended for ages 12+.

If you feel like showing some neighborhood pride, we created some special merch just for ghost lovers so be sure to peruse the online shop. You can also inquire about private tours for groups of 15 guests or more and have access to a special discount!

Stay tuned for more announcements as we embark on another dark journey known only... as 2024.
