To further our mission, we believe it is imperative to form a diverse set of opportunities for business professionals to gather together and get involved. We accomplish this by the development of several committees in which anyone can join.
Work closely with the Chamber in providing member benefits such as: ribbon cutting ceremonies and milestone anniversaries; bettering the Chamber’s retention program; assisting the membership committee in implementing new programs to both generate new members and retain existing members.
Help identify value propositions for membership. Work closely with the Ambassadors to evaluate incentive programs and assess reciprocal and reduced membership with related organizations. Assist in the development of diversity initiatives, identify potential members, and structure recruiting events.
Evaluate existing program structure and recommend new programming. Suggest pricing structures for members and non-members, amenities at events, and programming partners with which the Chamber works.
Energy and Manufacturing
Develop relationships with energy companies and energy-related organizations while evaluating programming for energy-related events. Plan programs for increasing membership and involvement with energy companies in the airport area.
Help support the military mission in the airport area and work with military personnel on partnerships and the Honorary Commanders Program. Evaluate and determine opportunities to strengthen the relationship of Chamber members and the military community.
Assist in creating, developing, and implementing new communication strategies for the Chamber. Determine an appropriate content strategy for social media, the layout and design of publications, and new ideas that can help grow the Chamber’s online community.
Professional Innovative Leaders of Tomorrow. Join the mission of the Chamber’s 40-and-under professionals to develop leadership and growth opportunities for tomorrow’s business generation. Discuss event and volunteer opportunities and the pressing subjects facing younger people in today’s workplace.
Community Growth and Government Affairs
Guide the Chamber’s advocacy efforts at all levels of government. Engage in lobbying efforts in Harrisburg and Washington, including visits to each location to meet with our area legislators.
Obtain funding and volunteers for the Chamber’s CHOICES program. Assist in supporting the Sally Haas Scholarship Program offered by the Chamber’s Enterprise Foundation. Plan and evaluate educational programs offered by the Chamber for its members.
