WHAT IS WINGS OVER PITTSBURGH?
Wings Over Pittsburgh is a military air show hosted by the 911th Airlift Wing of the Air Force Reserve Command. Wings Over Pittsburgh features military and civilian aerial demonstrations and static displays as well as lots of children's activities. It was created to foster awareness and confidence for the local military units by inviting Pittsburghers and those who live in the surrounding areas to enjoy a free, fun-filled, 2-day air show.
MISSION:
Astonish the public with an unforgettable aviation experience through professionally displaying Department of Defense assets, and graciously host guest personnel that represent their respective flying organizations.
VISION:
Energize patriotism in today's citizens of the United States and spark the fiery passion of flight in tomorrow's defenders of America.
WHEN:
This years air show will be held July 8-9 at the 911th Airlift Wing Air Force Reserve Base in Moon Township. Gates open at 9AM and the parking and admission are free.
