DESCRIPTION:WHAT IS WINGS OVER PITTSBURGH? \n\n\nWings Over Pittsburgh is a military air show hosted by the 911th Airlift Wing of the Air Force Reserve Command.  Wings Over Pittsburgh features military and civilian aerial demonstrations and static displays as well as lots of children's activities.  It was created to foster awareness and confidence for the local military units by inviting Pittsburghers and those who live in the surrounding areas to enjoy a free\, fun-filled\, 2-day air show. \n\n\n \nMISSION: \n\n\nAstonish the public with an unforgettable aviation experience through professionally displaying Department of Defense assets\, and graciously host guest personnel that represent their respective flying organizations. \n\n\n \nVISION: \n\n\nEnergize patriotism in today's citizens of the United States and spark the fiery passion of flight in tomorrow's defenders of America.  \n\n\n \nWHEN:  \n\n\nThis years air show will be held July 8-9 at the 911th Airlift Wing Air Force Reserve Base in Moon Township.
