Description
A working knowledge of international air and ocean import transactions along with a basic understanding of bills of lading are a bonus.
Duties
- Tracing the shipment, scheduling the pickup/delivery, dispatching the trucker, confirming availability and paying freight charges. Additional duties may include,
- Preparing quotes,
- Coordinating international courier shipments,
- Billing, and
- Processing cargo insurance.
Requirements
- The ability to multi-task as well as attention to detail is a must
- Able to manage you own work in a fast-paced environment.
- Written and verbal communications skills are key.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Overall computer literacy is required.
- CargoWise One experience is a plus.
- 2 years’ experience working in a related industry
- 2 years’ customer service
- High school diploma or equivalent
