    Job Description
    ORGANIZATION: Allegheny Children’s Initiative
    DEPARTMENT: Outpatient
    POSITION: Outpatient PCIT Therapist
    STATUS: Part Time
    HOURS: As Needed
    LOCATION: Pittsburgh (South Side)


    Allegheny Children’s Initiative, a subsidiary of Partners For Quality, Inc., is a non-profit community organization that provides mental and behavioral health community based services to children, adolescents and families throughout Allegheny County. Based out of the South Side, we currently provide Psychological Evaluations, BHRS, Service Coordination, Student Assistance, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, and Family Based Mental Health programs. ACI is also COA (Council On Accreditation) accredited.
     
    The Outpatient PCIT Therapist will be responsible for providing intensive therapeutic services to a child and family in an outpatient setting.  These services are provided in accordance with the current Medical Assistance and managed care organization guidelines and ACI’s mission, vision, values, policies, procedures and practices. Duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Conduct diagnostic clinical assessments (initial evaluations)
    • Provide individual and/or family psychotherapy sessions
    • Demonstrate fidelity to established treatment models and use good judgment in securing further therapeutic consultation as clinically indicated
    • Demonstrate the ability to use supervision/consultation effectively to improve quality of treatment and fidelity to treatment models
    • Maintain strict professional boundaries with all clients/families in accordance with good clinical judgment and ACI policies
    • Create treatment goals that are designed to stabilize behaviors and promote emotional and behavioral growth in child and caregiver
    • Monitor and record progress of the child/family to determine treatment approaches and/or changes in therapeutic approach
    • Complete all progress notes for therapy sessions in the electronic health record, in a timely manner, and clearly reflecting treatment goals
    • Complete all required documentation and administrative tasks efficiently and according to expectations
    • Collaborate with members of treatment team, family caregivers, professionals, and others working with the child or family

    QUALIFICATIONS
    1. Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker
    2. Credentialed with insurance companies, preferred
    3. Completion of initial PCIT training
    4. Excellent clinical skills
    5. Experience with children
    6. Reliable transportation
    7. Excellent computer skills
    8. Act 33 / 34 and FBI Clearance
