POSITION: Mental Health Professional (Behavioral Consultant / Mobile Therapist)
STATUS: Part Time; (10 up to 20 hours / week)
SCHEDULE / HOURS: Flexible to meet the needs of the caseload
SALARY / WAGES: $23 - $27 / hour
Allegheny Children’s Initiative, a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., is a non-profit organization that provides mental and behavioral health community-based services to children, adolescents and families throughout Allegheny County. Based in Pittsburgh’s South Side, we provide Intensive Behavioral Health Services, Service Coordination, Student Assistance, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and Family Based Mental Health programs. ACI has earned certification from the Council On Accreditation.
The IBHS Clinician is responsible for providing clinically sound services to enable the child to be maintained and to function in the least restrictive living and academic environment deemed medically necessary in accordance with the current Medical Assistance and managed care organization guidelines.
Behavioral Consultants designs and either directs the implementation or implements the behavior modification intervention plan which is individualized for each child, youth, or young adult served.
Mobile Therapists use therapeutic techniques such as, but not limited to, CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, and solution focused therapy.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct and write behavioral assessments to determine the appropriate number of hours of an IBHS
- Administer and score assessment tools, behavioral checklists, and protocols
- Consolidate results of all assessment materials and formulate treatment goals and objectives
- Assess the effectiveness of the child’s coping skills and crisis support and write relevant crisis plans
- Provide, model, and teach a variety of skills and interventions to the assigned children and families
- Collect, assess and review data to inform on-going treatment plans
- Consult and communicate regarding client treatment with relevant Systems
- Facilitate interagency treatment team meetings and completing and submitting all required paperwork
- Use collaborative documentation
- Present clinical information
- Complete all required documentation (i.e. assessments, progress notes, discharge plan) within an E.H.R.
- Complete assigned peer case reviews on a monthly basis
- Regularly attend staff meetings, clinical supervision, and All Agency trainings
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education or Counseling which included a clinical or mental health direct service practicum
- Those employees who function as a Mobile Therapist also require at least 9 credit hours specific to clinical practice in Psychology, Social Work or Counseling
- Minimum one year full-time paid work experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults
- LSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, BSL preferred
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Use of personal vehicle required
- Act 33 / 34 and FBI Clearances required
SALARY / WAGES
$23 - $27 / hour (DOE)
