Position Summary:

Mascaro is seeking 2 (two) laborer trainees for our Heavy/Industrial Project Team to support a PennDOT project in Armstrong County. The position does not require previous experience as the successful candidate(s) will get direct hands-on training of at least 1,000 hours. Minorities, women, and economically disadvantaged jobseekers are encouraged to apply. PennDOT will provide free supportive services for trainees to overcome barriers and obstacles that may impact participation and training.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Comfortable working on-site and in a construction project environment
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Pass a drug test
• Access to reliable transportation
• Demonstrated evidence of reasonable amount of aptitude and interest in joining a construction trade
• Not be accepted as a trainee in any classification in which they have successfully completed a training program leading toward journey level status; or in which such person has been gainfully employed as a journey by virtue of informal on-the-job training
• Not be an individual or apprentice who enrolled as a "trainee" and quit three (3) times
