    Job Description

    Under the direct supervision of the Executive Coordinator, Office of the CEO, responsible for greeting visitors and staff. In addition, the incumbent will assist with the visitor badge process, answer telephones, and support the Office of the CEO by performing routine clerical and administrative work.

    At the ACAA we all have a role in the ambitious transformation of becoming a smarter airport that will enhance the passenger experience and deliver on our mission of being a global aviation leader. Here is how the Receptionist role will help: 
    • Act as the first point of contact for the Allegheny County Airport Authority, greeting and welcoming all visitors and staff.
    • Maintain security by following procedures and controlling access (monitor logbook, oversee/issue visitor badges).
    • Answer/screen telephone calls, take detailed phone messages, and direct to appropriate staff member/department.
    • Maintain an up-to-date phone list for CEO.
    • Create work orders and invoices.
    • Scans documents for electronic filing.
    • Orders office supplies for the Office of the CEO.
    • Reconcile expense reports for the Executive Manager, Office of the CEO, and the CEO utilizing Concur Expense.
    • Prepare outgoing mail and FedEx packages.
    • As needed, provides coverage for the Executive Coordinator.
    • Receive and sign for deliveries from couriers.
    • Provide administrative support to the Office of the CEO as assigned by supervisor.
    • Provide excellent customer service to all guests.
    • Perform other related tasks as assigned or required.
    The successful candidate in the Receptionist role will exhibit the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:  
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Power Point.
    • Considerable knowledge of general office practices and techniques.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Must have professional appearance and phone presence

    The minimum requirements needed to qualify for the Receptionist role are:
    • High School diploma or GED
    • Previous experience as a receptionist in a professional office setting.
    • Previous customer service experience required
