Accounts Payable - Robinson Township
Posted: 09/15/2024- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports, recording entries.
- Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
- Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances, preparing checks.
- Prepare daily spreadsheets for all expense reports.
- Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Data entry for all accounts payable invoices
- Process billings for spare parts
- Reconcile monthly bank statements.
- Process 1099’s at the end of year for misc. non-employees
- Performed receptionist duties when needed.
- Process credit references
- Keying in payroll hours for construction department
- Processing online sales and use tax returns for all the states.
- Spreadsheets for all legal asbestos cases and work with lawyers
- Help purchasing department with problems reconciling purchase order revisions and change orders.
- Supervised a staff when needed.
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Skills Needed- Proven working experience as accounts payable clerk.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Extensively proficiency working with computers, therefore experience and comfort with IT a must.
Requirements:- High school diploma or GED required.
- Successful candidate must submit to a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Prefer at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Must have a valid drivers’ license.
