Come celebrate 25 years with the Carnegie Mellon University's All University Orchestra! Under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey Klestad, this concert will feature Wagner's search for hope, redemption, and compassion through his Prelude to Parsifal, Christopher Theofanidis' Rainbow Body--an homage to Hildegard von Bingen and Tibetan Buddhism--and Tchaikovsky's fateful Symphony Nr. 6 in b-minor "Pathetique." The concert is free and open to the public. CMU's ALL UNIVERSITY ORCHESTRA is a student-led organization composed of members with a passion for classical music from Carnegie Mellon University and its surrounding community. The AUO has grown since its founding over 25 years ago, now comprised of students, faculty, friends, and staff from all 7 colleges, as well as the University of Pittsburgh. Members attend weekly rehearsals to perform one concert per semester, enjoying making music together and showcasing talents.
