SUMMARY:Thursdays With the Airport Area Chamber - "It's All About the People Series"
DESCRIPTION:"It's All About the People Series"\n\n\n\nThird Thursdays with the\n\nPgh. Airport Area Chamber of Commerce - \n\n\n\nManaging Anxiety in an Environment of\n\nCOVID-19 Uncertainty\n \n\nJoin us virtually as we continue our monthly series focusing on "It's All About the People" and subject matter focused on your workplace\, your people and your leadership in an environment never imagined.\n\n\n\nOur host\, Dr. Debra Roach\, Director Workforce Development & Continuing Education Penn State Beaver/Shenango will engage in conversation with Brian Speakman\, Behavioral Health Specialist and accomplished speaker with Milestone Centers Inc.\n\n\n\nAccording to a national survey by Weber Shandwick and KRC Research\, nearly half of employees are concerned that their employers have brought\, or will bring\, them back to work before it's safe. If employers don't address sources of workplace anxiety in this environment of uncertainty\, and assist employees in managing their mental health\, bringing people back to work will do little to help companies return to\n\npre-Covid 19 productivity and engagement levels. This presentation will address:\n\n \n\n* How to make employees' well-being a top priority\n\n* How to enhance current practices\, supplementing external or third-party mental health programs and/or EAPs to deal with "in-house" stress \n\n* How to stay transparent and share accurate information to avoid gossip\n\n* How to offer some reasonable accommodations\n\n* How to lead the way by training other managers and company leaders to be available to your employees throughout the Covid19 crisis
