DESCRIPTION:The Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber Enterprise Foundation is looking for volunteer presenters from our business community to take the CHOICES workshop to our future workforce!\n\n\n\nCHOICES is an interactive two-hour classroom seminar designed to help middle school students realize the long-term implications of the decisions they are making in school today. The program offers creative\, highly participatory exercises facilitated by volunteers from the business community.\n\n\n\nCHOICES hands-on activities awaken students to the fact that they have the power to make important future-impacting decisions right now.  The seminar develops the ideas of time management\, self-discipline and wise academic decision-making.  It brings home to teenagers the meaning of the term "cost of living" and exposes them to sobering information about the education and skills required for various occupations in today's and tomorrow's workplace.\n\n\n\nSelf-discipline is encouraged as the key to success in their endeavors and at the end of the seminar they are given the "Key to Success" as a reminder of the control they have over their choices and their futures.\n\n\n\nNot only is CHOICES engaging for middle school students\, it is also fun and easy to present!\n\nIf you...\n\n \n\n\n	Have prior public speaking experience\;\n	Are interested in education and care about young people\;\n	Have enthusiasm\, flexibility and good listening skills\;\n	Are able to establish warm rapport and credibility with students'\n	Can present material in a clear and concise manner\; and\n	Are available to make presentations in school classrooms\;\n\n\n then we invite you to become a CHOICES Volunteer Presenter!\n\n \n\nIf you are interested in becoming involved or want to learn more\, please contact Susan Hovanec or register for a training session.
