SUMMARY:37th Annual Ohio Valley Hospital and Kennedy Township 5K
DESCRIPTION:Not many races can claim a 37 year history like Ohio Valley Hospital and Kennedy Township's community race.\n\nEach year\, we see competitive runners and families alike\n\ncomplete our hilly 5K course.\n\nIt's a community tradition that has changed from a 10K\n\nand bike race to a 5K\;\n\ndrawing a few hundred participants every year.\n\nWe hope you'll become part of our history\n\nby signing up for 2018.\n\nThe race is open to runners and walkers\n\n(dogs on a leash and strollers are welcome to try out the course\, as well).\n\nThe OVH and Kennedy Township race kicks off from the Hospital's main entrance at 8 a.m. on Saturday\, May 12\, 2018. \n\nOur DJ plays you off onto the hilly course\,\n\nand you're welcomed back with an\n\nawards ceremony and breakfast spread!\n\nPrizes will be awarded to the 1st\, 2nd\,\n\nand 3rd place male and female\,\n\nregardless of age\,\n\nwho cross the finish line.\n\nPacket pick-up will take place at Robinson EMS on\n\nThursday\, May 10 and Friday\, May 11 \n\nfrom 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.\n\nTheir address is 998 Church Hill Road\, Pittsburgh\, PA 15205.\n\nThey are located next to the Robinson Township library\n\nand behind the Robinson Township police station.\n\nIf this is not your first time running the OVH\n\nand Kennedy Township race\,\n\nwe'd love to hear from you!\n\nContact meaton@ohiovalleyhospital.org \n\nto share your story and pictures!\n\nYou may also pick up your race packet at the registration table\n\nin front of the Hospital's main entrance on race day.\n\nRace day registration and packet pick up will be available\n\nfrom 6:30 - 7:45 a.m. on the day of the race.\n\nBag check is available\; please\, no large bags\,\n\ncoolers\, or back packs.\n\nFree Parking is available on the day of the event in the OVH Medical Office Building parking lots and across the street at The Willows Senior Living Community.\n\nThe route roads will close around 7:30 a.m. and\n\nremain closed until about 9:00 - 9:30 a.m.\,\n\ndepending on the time the last participants cross the finish line.\n\nThese rolling road closures include parts of McKees Rocks Road\, Heckel Road\, Fairhaven Road\, and Pine Hollow Road.\n\nRace shirts are guaranteed to the first\n\n200 registered participants.\n\nYou must sign a waiver to race.
