Entrepreneurs Welcome Here!

Entrepreneurs need access to their
target market to get product feedback, and ultimately a reference or
first customer, but many entrepreneurs in the Pittsburgh region say
the door remains closed when they call on established businesses.
We want to change that. We invite you
to participate in a new program that we are launching to connect
entrepreneurs with established businesses.
If you are an established company:
- Decide how
many entrepreneurs you are willing to meet with each quarter: 1?
5? 10? - it is for you to choose.
- Provide us
with the name and contact information of the key staff who will
work with us.
- Optional:
Provide us with a list of products, services, or innovations you
are most interested in.
We will:
- Screen the
entrepreneurs to ensure they are prepared and their
product/service is a reasonable match for your company. If
we’re not sure, we’ll call and ask.
- Provide
your staff designee with a 1-2 page description of the
product/service to help determine who in the company the
entrepreneur should be talking to.
- Solicit and
collect feedback on the call and the program.
If you are an entrepreneur:
- Send a
one-two page write up on your product and service.
- Provide us
with the names of the participating companies that you’d like to
meet with. (We may suggest some companies but you’ll need to do
your own market research).
- Be willing
to meet with us before we match you up with companies. We’d like
to hear about your product/service and help you make the most of
this program.
- Let us know
how the meeting went. This is a pilot program and we’re looking
for feedback.
Please note that we cannot guarantee
a meeting. The company may have met its quota, the timing is not
right, etc. However, you can certainly seek access on your own.
