Health Care

The City of Pittsburgh in recent decades has become as celebrated for its medical research and practice as it was a century ago as a center for heavy industry. While the city's Oakland section has always been the hub of the region's medical community, the Airport Corridor has never wanted for qualified practitioners and many of the city's most distinguished physicians and caregivers also practice their healing arts in our very midst.

The Airport Corridor is especially well served, with a number of outstanding hospitals and a comprehensive array of primary care centers, physician and surgical group practices, and sole practitioners.

A full complement of osteopaths, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, podiatrists, dentists and dental surgeons, chiropractors, rehabilitation specialists, home care, visiting nurse, assisted living, skilled nursing, and hospice and extended care providers round out the network of available health care providers.
