Business Awards

The ACE Awards 

Each year the chamber recognizes the outstanding contributions made by our business leaders at our annual Awards Celebration & Exhibition - ACE Event.   Awards are presented to the Business of the Year, Business of the Year: Non-profit, and Business Person of the Year.  Nominations for these awards come from the membership, based on the candidates meeting the required criteria.

Ambassador of the Year!

Warren Byers of M W Byers Company, earned the coveted "Star Ambassador" Award for 2003-04.   Warren achieved this recognition for his relentless efforts in assisting the Chamber with growing, retaining, and recruiting new members.  The Chamber applauds and congratulates Warren Byers on this achievement

State Senator John Pippy, 
Statesman Award

Recognized for his advocacy efforts on behalf of business, 
State Senator John Pippy (shown left) was presented with the 
Chamber's first Statesman Award by Chairman Brian 
Walker (on right) at the Annual Awards Celebration and
Exhibition.  

 

Col. Carl Vogt, 
Outstanding Community Leader Recipient

Recognized for his leadership and inspiration in creating awareness
about the role of the military in the community, 2003 Chamber Chairman  
Mike Belsky was pleased to recognize Col. Carl Vogt, Commander of the 
911th Airlift Wing, with the Outstanding Community Leader Award.  
Col Vogt was instrumental in helping the Chamber develop the Honorary
Commanders Association, which brings civic and military leaders
together throughout the year for unique experiences that help create
awareness and cohesiveness between the business and military
communities. 

The Jenny Award

Named for the World War I bi-plane that earned a reputation for rugged reliability, the Jenny Award is presented as a token of our Chamber’s gratitude to those members who have worked diligently to help the Chamber achieve its objectives.
