    Thinking outside the box:

Should you think outside the box when it comes to providing wellness events to your employees?

    Yes - and here's why!

Anymore these days, companies are looking for fresh, new ideas to provide health & wellness education to their employees during working hours. They have become creative in their thinking and that has pushed many of them outside of the box. So what kinds of ideas can you create when you think of "outside the box" events at your company? Take a look at the list below for some examples.

    Outside the Box wellness ideas:

    • Shoe shopping at work? Yes - it works! Pittsburgh is home to several running/walking specialty shoe stores where staff is trained to fit and assess what shoe is best for the customer. Often times, these stores also provide educational workshops too. Your employees will get a bit of education, try on some shoes & then be able buy them on the spot.
    • Live cooking show during work? Yes – We’ve tasted it many times! You can always find a qualified dietician/nutritionist that will come on-site to not only educate your employees on a variety of topics (i.e. eating on the go, healthy snacks, eating for weight loss) but they will cook and demo for the crew too. Leaving your employees with a happy and healthy belly is never a bad idea.
    • Rock climbing at work? You bet! Not only can you get a rock climbing wall on-site - but there are many organizations that will come on-site to provide safe & fun physical activities to your employees. You can even consider making these fun activities into team-building moments. Now that's what you call an interactive staff meeting idea!

Don't be shy or afraid to think outside the box when planning your next wellness adventure. If you can imagine it - then there is likely someone out there that can provide this to your company. The employees will thank you and your ROI will be a positive one for sure. You will certainly notice positive improvements in the workplace that won't disappoint your team or your boss. So go ahead, think outside the box!
